18th century French Tortoise shell cushion mirrorThis is a superb quality very large 18th century French cushion mirror made from genuine Tortoiseshell and brass. A very bold design that will make a statement in any home. Gorgeous colours with the brown tortoiseshell, the ebonised moulding and the brass decoration. Overall condition is very good with a small number of sympathetic restorations that are barely noticeable. The glass I believe has been replaced but is now a thick clean mirror plate

The frosted glass is totally original and is in perfect condition

The mirror has a nice weight and is very well made

But even used individually these add a great soft light to a space as well as a decorative piece when off

An unusual design but quite contemporary considering their age

These would require 24 metres of material (12m per sofa)

The condition overall is very good with the only marks being consistent with age and use

The look is very impressive and elegant

There is a great patina to the oak and the colour is wonderful also

The top and base plate are cut
